Before you can manage and monitor the ingredient inventory and create a recipe, it is necessary to create the ingredient first. If you want to create for more than 50 ingredients, we advise you to import the list of your ingredients on Excel:
Here are the steps to import ingredients using Excel:
- Login backoffice Moka.
- Select menu INGREDIENT.
- Choose Ingredient Library.
- Click Import/Export.
- Select Import Ingredients.
- Select Modify Ingredient Library to add new ingredients and update existing ingredients.
Select Replace Ingredient Library to delete all existing ingredients and replace them with your uploaded ingredients.
- Click Next.
Notes: If you do not have the template to import the ingredients, click Download Our Template. - Open the file saved to your computer using Excel.
- Fill in the template columns according to these columns:
- Column A: Internal ID that will generate automatically. Do not need to edit or fill in this column.
- Column B: Insert the ingredients name.
- Column C: Insert the ingredients category name.
- Column D: Do not edit this column. You can only adjust this column on the Inventory section (Purchase Order and Adjustment).
- Column E: Insert the ingredients units in shorten format (for example: If the ingredients unit is in grams, type g only on the column).

- Column F: Type Y if you want to track the number of ingredients stock. Type N if you do not want to track ingredient stock instead.
- Column G: Insert the nominal for minimum ingredient stock alert. You will receive a notification once your stock reach the inserted nominal. Type the number 0 if you do not want to receive this notification.
- Column H: Type Y if you want to track the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) of those ingredients. Type N if you do not want to track the COGS.
- Column I: Insert the cost of ingredients per unit.
- Save the file under .csv format.
- Column A: Internal ID that will generate automatically. Do not need to edit or fill in this column.
- Drag and drop the CSV file into the upload area or click on the upload area.
- Click Upload.
Congratulations! You have successfully import ingredients using Excel.
